Hello, I’m Rideshare Sean, a white, male, in my mid-forties, residing in the vibrant County of Manatee, Florida. I have been a full-time Uber driver for over 6 years now. I have done most of my trips in St. Petersburg, FL. Now the Uber app only allows me to do pick-ups in Manatee County, FL. So now I do pick-ups in Manatee and Sarasota Counties only now. I drive passengers to counties in and around the Tampa Bay Florida Area. Let me take you on a journey through my unconventional life as a health enthusiast, navigating the roads of Tampa Bay. In 2015, life threw its fair share of challenges my way. Instead of succumbing to the chaos, I took a proactive stance, realizing that many of these challenges stemmed from the choices I made. Facing foreclosure on my home that year, I made a silent commitment to rebuild my life.  I am able to do everything I need for my health because of the life I have now. I live with my mother only since 2020 and I have no friends or girlfriends (on purpose). I am still very courteous but assertive to all my passengers and everyone I come into contact with. Really, all that matters is my own personal health. So that is why I am sharing my health journey with the world! I do not drink alcohol or do drugs anymore, and I never “go out” anymore either.

Without sharing my intentions with anyone, I ventured into a new chapter. My journey began in a Clearwater call center, where I worked while embarking on a side gig as a rideshare driver. Crunching the numbers, I discovered that driving for Uber could potentially sustain me financially, barely though (it is definItley not a career move). Little did I know that this venture would be a catalyst for acquiring new skills, and facing the ever-changing landscape of rideshare economics. Over the years, I witnessed rate cuts and shifts in payment structures. Today, I find myself at a crossroads, realizing that the meager income from driving for Uber is insufficient for my needs, let alone supporting my mother AND me. Determined to adapt, I aim to transition from the rideshare grind to pursuing my passion for digital photography. Living a deliberately simple life, I drive a low-cost, 11-year-old Prius and strategically avoid unnecessary expenses. While driving for Uber in Pinellas County, I leave the challenges and triumphs of the day on the road, opting for a peaceful return home to Manatee County. Despite being a full-time Uber driver by choice, I value freedom and independence above all. With a son living abroad and minimal social connections, I steer clear of unnecessary complications. Driving for Uber not only provides me with an income, but also allows me to observe human behavior, with passengers often assuming I’m an oblivious driver. Beyond the wheel, my commitment to health and well-being takes center stage.

I adhere to a daily routine that includes Peloton workouts twice each day, and intermittent fasting, each day. I also do a prolonged 3 day water only fast every February and August since 2016. Here is a link to my latest 3-day fast (February 2024).

500 Milligrams of Vitamin C (since about 04/01/2020)

~5000 IU of vitamin D (since about 04/01/2020)

1 X vitamin B 500 MG (since about 04/01/2020)

1 x Fish Oil from Amazon (since ~03-20-2021)

1 tablespoon of high-grade Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Amazon (since ~08/01/2021)

250 MG tablet of Magnesium Citrate that I get from Amazon, which stopped me from being “tachycardic” in only 2 days. 

I exercise 1 x for 20 minutes in the morning and then 1 X for 30 minutes in the afternoon each day on the Peloton Bike Plus.

I stength train using 25 pound barbells every Monday and Friday to failure

I have an R.O. Chiller and filter system which I drink from mostly.

I take a multivitamin Since 02/15/2024.

I take a pre and probiotic capsule each day to promote gut health Since 02/15/2024.

I meditate each day for 15 minutes in the morning. I really like it. It is 15 minutes where I turn the world off each day. I have been doing this since the end of February 2024.

on 04/16/2024 I answered my phone and this woman was able to give to me her license number, and I looked it up, and it was legit. So I gave her my info and she signed me up for free health insurance from Florida Blue! Still I do the same thing for my health each day. Like that never even happened

Yes, I tend to be very sarcastic, and yes, I am strategically cheap essential traits to navigate the challenges on an Uber salary. As a health enthusiast, I prioritize my well-being, emphasizing the importance of simplicity, discipline, and self-care. Health care is expensive so my daily routine also helps to keep costs down too. My story is one of resilience and adaptation. As I drive through Tampa Bay, I embrace the unknown, finding a balance between earning a living and pursuing a life of purpose, health, and simplicity. Why I started this and continue to do my best to be healthy: 

I started all of this during the Covid-19 pandemic. I read a lot about it and there was not much known about the virus. I drove 7 days a week in 2020. There were a couple things that stood out for me. I did have time to think about this intelligently, I didn’t know how much time I had though.

So I began to gather all of the information about COVID-19 that I could. At that time there was not much known about that virus other than it was very contagious and its payload was just upper respiratory problems. If I were to catch COVID-19, I could probably easily clear it, but the biggest problem that I faced is that I had to earn with Uber, and I am a driver of public transportation and COVID is spreading pretty quickly. So I gathered more information and what I wanted was not to catch it at all. I needed to prevent catching it not recover easily from it. That is the only way I could prevent my mother who I live with that is in her lower 70’s from catching it from me. So during the beginning of COVID-19 in America, I was not living with my mother yet. But there were some things happening in her life that were going to require that transition to take place ASAP. At that time (late 2019 early 2020) I was only taking like 4 vitamins once per week when I would go to my mother’s then home in Southern Manatee County.

   All I kept seeing about Covid was that it was very contagious. So in like April of 2020 my mother and I and I moved in together and I started taking Vitamins daily. She would sort them for me and she had a couple plastic pill containers with the days of the week represented on them by the first letter in each day. Perfect I thought, they were free and they were exactly what we needed. I was reading everywhere that a big part of the human immune system is exercise. I knew I needed to start exercising ASAP. So I started kicking the tires on exercise equipment. I was originally going to get the nordictrack S22i because it was cheaper than the Peloton which was very attractive AND when you purchase that the S22i you get the first year of Ifit free (Ifit is the nordictrack service on that bike that you exercise with). That was very attractive to me also. 

There was a problem with the S22I though.

Owners of that Bike were reporting that they would spend several hours on the phone with Ifit troubleshooting a problem and the phone would disconnect for whatever reason and they would call back in and have to start all over. So I sent out via US mail 3 letters hoping to get a response from someone in case this happened to me. I sent a letter to NordicTrack a letter to Ifit and the parent company of Ifit Icon and I got no response from any of them at all. Also, a lot of people that were Nordictrack owners, were telling others to get the Peloton, which was very powerful. They were not saying that directly to me, because I was just “lurking and Learning” but they were saying it to other members in the forum when asked. So instead of getting the s22I, I got the Peloton Bike+ and I am so glad that I went with the Peloton because I love it. it is awesome!

New Bike for Mom!

My younger brother got my mother a three-wheel bike as a gift, which was so awesome! I tried to get her to exercise every day but she told me “Oh no, 3 times a week and that is it!”  I was like fine Ill take whatever I can get 3 times a week is still pretty good, I thought. So I got some Olive Oil from Amazon.com and we both started adding that to the vitamins we took every day.  I learned that from an Audible book I read called Genius Foods by Max Lugavere which is/was a very good book. He also stated in that book some numbers for Fish Oil capsules. I searched around and found some triple strength Fish Oil capsules that I could afford and we started taking them each day. After about 6 months or so. I actually read the reviews and I saw in there that the number of tablets per package had now been lowered to 200 capsules from 300 and they were originally filled in Shenzhen China. So I started getting some other kind of fish oil that was also triple strength. Then I started noticing when I took my own Blood Pressure that my pulse was always high like in the 120’s when I woke up. I explained that to my older brother and he told me to try magnesium, so I did. I was living with tachycardia I think for several months before I tried magnesium and within two days, my pulse went down to about 80 when I checked it, which I thought was awesome. That was Magnesium Oxide that did that, I learned a couple months later that Magnesium Citrate is better absorbed by the human body. I found for 2 dollars more the Magnesium Oxide was almost 5 dollars for 100 pills and the Magnesium Citrate was like $7.99 for 100 but the Citrate capsules are huge. That would not be a problem but when you take as many pills as I do the size of those pills kind of matter. But since now I take sports research fish oil capsules instead of Nordic, I just need to take a single Fish Oil capsule so that makes it a little easier.

The reason for not catching COVID?

So I am not exactly sure which was the reason that me or my mother never got COVID and I don’t like people poking me with anything especially needles, so I never took the Jab. But my mother did. I explained to her that her risk of actually catching COVID now anyway was very low, but it was free and she wanted to anyway so she did take the jab. In my car I like to keep it as cool as possible, people are always telling me to make it warmer in the car, so I do. But I always have the A.C. blowing on me and it was either that or the Vitamins or both that I always took that kept us from catching covid. I like to think it was both. So anyway I just kept adding things on and doing more things to keep healthy. It has now been 6 years and I have not had to go to the Doctor for a cold. I have been sick a couple of times, but I just keep taking Vitamins and exercising and getting as much quality sleep as possible each day and it goes away. I also water only fast twice every year for 3 days which is free (my favorite price) and VERY good for you.
